now we are coming on to the digital marketing example: let’s assume that you are a merchant. you create anime-printed t-shirts, so you’re planning to sell your printed t-shirts, and for that, you need to market them now, given the fact, or let’s assume that your budget constraints are lesser. so the first thing that you need to figure out is what the targeted audience is and what kind of audience are you trying to target. so when you say you’re selling printed t-shirts, it could mostly be people who are between the ages of 15 to 35 even more but I have reasoning behind this, might not be completely true and sure, but you will find the major sample size of the audience in this age group.
The reason for that when talking about buying anime-printed t-shirts, you are looking at people who are mostly in this age of their life where they can buy these stuff. who are students, who want to express their interest in anime, who are young to explore something new, etc. They would also want to buy. Again the age group of mostly 15-20-25.. to 35-40. you can not expect smaller kids to go ahead and buy these t-shirts, because sometimes they even don’t know and understand about anime. but it is just a hypothesis. Again, there could be outlines, there could be exceptions.
It is very important to understand what kind of audience are you trying to target. the other point you need to consider is when you’re targeting this audience, you also consider quite a few other factors, not just age like what the location could be. so let’s assume that you want to sell your products in a particular region because that could be a certain limitation that you have. you might not have a reach to reach a wide audience.
In this case, you could be marketing it for a particular city. So, it depends upon what kind of product. who are you trying to sell it to? Who are you trying to market it to? So that is why when you do digital marketing an important aspect is you understand your customers, understand their needs, and accordingly you come to the next point. You have strategized certain things so you can reach out to those people online.

As we know the world is not old, when the internet was introduced in this world where we can access Web 1.0, that time we were only recording data through the Internet. Thereafter in 1998 launched Google, where we can access more widely data and information about the world.
but there was a loophole while discovering new things world (people) has less internet, where we look back in India around the 2000s and starting of the 21st century India has less multimedia although multimedia was introduced in around 2005 to 2006. but around 2015 and 2016 a major game-changer was introduced Reliance JIO which allows and offers Indian cheaper cost of internet. Before JIO indian have multimedia but less access to the internet. but JIO allows unlimited internet for more than a year and several months.
So coming to the current world where you don’t have to go out and find your suitable and desirable wanted products & services on your nearby shop and marketplace. Now you can buy and sell suitable and desirable products and services at home while accessing the internet using phones, laptops, etc to land on those websites that serve you, what you want to satisfy yourself or fulfill needs and those websites and platforms will deliver your products and services at your home.
Actually, the point is before digital marketing people have narrow and limited options to buy and sell to satisfy themselves and fulfill their needs. But after digital marketing was introduced world has far more options (nearly beyond your imagination) options to satisfy and fulfill their needs and wants.

- For whom:- Ask again, For whom you want to sell my merchandise. In my scenario, I want to sell to a particular age group of young people who have an interest in printed anime style and quote-based merchandise. Who can be students, youths, kids, men, and young girls?
- What platform can you use:- Identify your targeted audiences which you chose in the last question, in my scenario I want to sell my anime style and quote-based merchandise to young generation kids and adults who they are interested. So I identify people’s interests where these kinds of people are stuck or more invested through the internet for example some people use Instagram. So I triggered Instagram, some people use or are more engaged with YouTube and Facebook so I will create pages on these platforms that connect with my interested audience to sell and connect with them while platform.
